Mr. Habeeb O. Oyewole is a seasoned banker and investment professional. He is responsible for steering Ascent Capital Limited to success. He has about two decades of experience in the financial services industry, his wealth of experience ranges from business banking, operations, Islamic banking and Investment. Habeeb started his banking career with Oceanic Bank Plc (now Ecobank), he later worked with Stanbic IBTC Bank Plc for almost a decade where he worked in several roles. Thereafter, he moved on to work with Sterling Bank Plc under their Non-Interest Banking widow (now the Alternative Bank Ltd) and later worked with Norrenberger Asset Management Limited as their pioneer Head of Halal Investment Division where he was responsible for the development of the strategic road-map for deeper market penetration of their Halal investment products and services, driving its revenue growth and profitability. Habeeb holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Usman Danfodio University, Sokoto, and a master’s degree in business administration from Modibbo Adama University of Technology, Yola. He is a Fellow, Certified Shariah Advisor & Auditor of the Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institution (AAOIFI) in Bahrain, a fellow of the Institute of Islamic Finance Professionals in Nigeria and a member of Nigeria Institute of Management (NIM). He also did certificate courses on Fiqh & Usul-Fiqh, and in Islamic Economics at the International Islamic University, Malaysia. He has undergone several training, workshops and certificate courses on Non-Interest Capital Market, Advanced Wealth and Investment Management, Islamic Banking and Finance, Operational Excellence, Financial Modelling and Forecasting amongst others.
